Installation
Installing the rechargeable batteries
The two rechargeable batteries supplied with your wireless headphones are supplied uncharged. You must charge them before you can use your headphones for the first time. Refer to diagram 1, inside cover, as well as to pages 2 and 3.
1. Open the rechargeable battery compartment (5) and insert two AAA type rechargeable
batteries, ensuring you align their positive and negative polarities (+ and -) correctly.
2. Connect the AC/DC mains adapter connector (14) to the DC IN socket (11) at the back of
the cradle, then connect the adapter to a mains outlet.
Charging the rechargeable batteries
The charging status is shown by the charge indicator lit (7). Subsequent charging must last from 15 to 17 hours. Once the headphones are charged, the indicator (7) switches off.
NiMH rechargeable battery memory effect When a NiMH rechargeable battery is first used, it is important to fully charge it and then allow it to discharge completely three times in order to ensure its maximum storage capacity. You must avoid recharging this type of rechargeable battery if it is not fully discharged, otherwise it will remember the range of charge between the "undischarged" capacity and its maximum capacity. This would reduce the battery's storage rating for subsequent charges and so reduce the length of time during which your headphones can be used before recharging is necessary. Natural discharge Because of their chemical design, all rechargeable batteries suffer from a natural discharge phenomenon, meaning that they automatically lose their charge to varying degrees and so their capacity drops when they are not used. The size of this loss varies according to the rechargeable battery's type and its design, internal resistance and (particularly) the temperature. The higher the temperature, the greater the natural discharge. Warning! To avoid the risk of fire, explosion and injury, do not try to recharge non-rechargeable batteries. Respect the environment and the law. Before disposing of rechargeable batteries, ask your distributor if they can be recycled and if he collects them.
Connecting the cradle
See diagram 2 on the inside cover.
1. Plug the stereo audio cable (15) into the audio source's audio output jack (the jack socket of
equipment such as a television set, Hi-Fi unit, CD player, etc).
If your audio source has two RCA (cinch) audio output jacks instead of a headphone jack, use the cords supplied (13 and 15) to connect your headphones to the two (red and white) RCA plugs.
2. Connect the other end of the stereo audio cord (15) to the AUDIO IN socket (10) at the
back of the cradle.
3. Connect the AC/DC mains adapter connector (14) to the DC IN socket (11) at the back of
the cradle, then connect the adapter to a mains outlet (230 V - 50 Hz).

Operation
Standard use
1. Switch on your audio source (television set, Hi-Fi unit, CD player, etc.) and, if necessary, play a
disc.
Warning: If the volume is too low, the cradle switches off after 2 minutes of use. This is to comply with the current legislation on reduce the amount of radio emissions in the environment. Therefore, to ensure that this function is not accidentally triggered, we suggest that you set the television, audio amplifier or DVD/CD player headphone volume level at approximately half way (50%). Please consult your equipments user manual for details on how to set the head / earphones volume level.
EN
2. The cradle is activated automatically when receiving an audio signal from the source through
the cradle's input socket (10) (check that the cradle is properly supplied using the adapter, as specified in step 3, page 4).The power on indicator (8) must light to confirm the cradle is ready.
The cradle has an automatic function that switches it off if the audio input jack (10) does not receive an audio signal for approximately 2 minutes. Please consult your equipments user manual for details on how to set the head / earphones volume level.
3. Switch on the headset using the On/Off button (POWER) (2). 4. The cradle features 3 phase locking channels (PLL) for radiofrequency transmission. Select one of
these channels using the selector at the back of the cradle, i.e. 1/2/3 (12). Select a channel and then use the tuning fine-tuning control (4) to adjust reception. The PLL function automatically locks the three channels, providing you with top-quality listening and no sound loss.
5. Adjust the volume using the volume control (1). 6. When you have finished using the headphones, switch off the headphones using the On/Off
button (POWER) (2) and place the audio source on standby.
Note: to ensure your headphones are charged and ready for use at all times, place them on the cradle when not used.
Other possibilities of use
The accessories supplied with your headphones include a jack adaptor (16) for connecting the unit to a 6.35 mm headphone socket, and a Y cable (13).You can use this Y cable to enable you to use your headphones differently. For example, you can hear the sound from a TV through the headphones without having to switch off the audio output from the TV's loudspeakers, which is extremely useful for families in which one person has a hearing disability. That person can then use the headphones to listen to the TV and adjust their volume as she wishes. See the connection diagram (diagram 2) inside the cover. This type of (permanent) connection will also enable you to use your headphones more simply as you will only need to switch on the audio source (TV, Hi-Fi amplifier, etc.) and switch on your headphones.

Operation
In case of problems
If you experience any problems while installing or using these headphones, please refer to the following instructions:
No sound
· · · · Check that your audio source, cradle and headphones are connected and supplied properly, and are switched on. Check that the rechargeable batteries are installed in the headset correctly. Have they been recharged properly? Check that the cradle is running, the indicator (8) must be lit. Check that the source delivers a sufficient audio signal to the cradle's AUDIO IN input socket (10). Check that the sound provided by the source is of sufficient quality and that the signal level is not too low or too high. When using non rechargeable batteries, check these are sufficiently charged. You can also try using new batteries, but remove them before setting the headphones on their base. Check that you have selected the best transmission channel 1, 2, 3 for your equipment's electromagnetic environment. If necessary try another channel, remembering to fine-tune reception using the tuning control (4) again. Check that the distance between the headphones and the cradle is within the operating range (80 metres in the open air, or several tens of metres indoors dependent on the building materials used and the charge remaining in the rechargeable batteries). Check that the audio source provides stereo sound. The cradle has an automatic power off function. When no signal is received through the cradle's AUDIO IN socket, it switches off. Switch on your audio source again and use the tuning control (4) to adjust reception. If necessary, increase the audio source's volume.
