When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, including the following: 1. Use this fan only as described in this manual. Other use not recommended may cause fire, electric shock or injury to persons. 2. This product is intended for household use ONLY and not for commercial, industrial or outdoor use. 3. To protect against electric shock, do not place fan in window, immerse unit, plug or cord in water or spray with liquids. 4. This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of shock, this plug is intended to fit only one way in a polarized outlet. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. DO NOT attempt to defeat this safety feature. 5. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children. 6. Turn the fan to the OFF position and unplug the fan from the outlet when not in use, when moving the fan from one location to another and before cleaning. 7. To disconnect the fan, grip the plug and pull it from the wall outlet. Never pull by the cord. 8. Do not operate the fan in the presence of explosive and/or flammable fumes. 9. Do not place the fan or any parts near an open flame, cooking or other heating appliance. 10. Do not operate the fan with a damaged cord or plug, if the product malfunctions or is dropped or damaged in any manner. (see warranty) 11. Avoid contact with moving fan parts. 12. The use of attachments not recommended by the manufacturer may be hazardous. 13. Place the fan on a dry level surface. 14. Do not hang or mount fan on a wall or ceiling. 15. Do not operate if the fan housing is removed or damaged. 16. A loose fit between the AC outlet (receptacle) and plug may cause overheating and a distortion of the plug. Contact a qualified electrician to replace loose or worn outlet. WARNING: To Reduce The Risk of Fire or Electric Shock, Do Not Use This Fan With Any Solid-State Speed Control Device. INTRODUCTION The Super TurboTM High Performance Fan was aerodynamically designed to give you the versatility of changing this fan's angular direction simply by adjusting the fan to ANY desired angular output (Fig.1). Upon using this fan, you will feel the strong and powerful air stream that will quickly move air in order to cool an area rapidly and efficiently. Fig. 1 Fig. 2 OPERATION · Place your fan on a level and dry surface. · Plug the power cord into a polarized 120 volt AC wall outlet. · To operate your Super Turbo Fan, turn the con- trol knob to the desired fan speed: HIGH (III), MEDIUM (II) or LOW (I). · Adjust the fan to the desired angular air output direction. · To move the fan, turn the fan OFF and pick it up by the concealed handle that is located on the outside rim of the fan (Fig. 2). WALL MOUNTING · Locate and mark the position on the wall where the fan will be mounted (preferably at a wall stud). · Insert a #8 screw (bolt) into the wall stud. The screw is not included and can be purchased at a hardware store. · Leave approximately 3/8" of the screw (bolt) exposed. · Line up the opening on the base of the fan with the screw (bolt) and hang the fan on the wall. CLEANING AND STORAGE · Turn off and unplug the fan before cleaning. · This fan does not disassemble. · Use only a soft cloth or cotton swab to gently wipe the fan clean. · DO NOT immerse the fan in water and never allow water to drip into the motor housing. · DO NOT use gasoline, paint thinner or other chemicals to clean the fan. · For storage, clean the fan carefully as instructed and store your fan in a cool, dry place. Régler le ventilateur à la position OFF et le débrancher quand il ne sert pas ou avant de le déplacer ou de le nettoyer. 7. Pour débrancher le ventilateur, tenir la fiche et tirer pour la sortir de la prise de courant. Ne jamais débrancher l'appareil en tirant sur le cordon d'alimentation. 8. Éviter de faire fonctionner l'appareil en présence de vapeurs explosives ou inflammables. 9. Éviter de placer le ventilateur ou des pièces du ventilateur à proximité d'une flamme ou d'un appareil de cuisson ou de chauffage. 10. Éviter d'utiliser le ventilateur si la fiche ou le cordon d'alimentation est endommagé. Éviter également d'utiliser l'appareil si celuici a montré des signes de mauvais fonctionnement, si on l'a laissé tomber ou s'il a été endommagé de quelque façon que ce soit. (Consulter la garantie.) 11. Éviter tout contact avec des pièces mobiles du ventilateur. 12. L'utilisation d'accessoires non recommandés par le fabricant peut entraîner un danger. 13. Toujours placer l'appareil sur une surface sèche et bien horizontale. 14. Éviter de suspendre ou fixer le ventilateur au mur ou au plafond. 15. Éviter de faire fonctionner le ventilateur si son boîtier a été enlevé ou endommagé. 16. Une mauvaise connexion entre la sortie de courant alternatif et la fiche peut provoquer un échauffement excessif et la déformation de la fiche. Demander à un électricien qualifié de remplacer la prise de courant. INTRODUCTION Le ventilateur haut rendement Super turbo possède une forme aérodynamique qui permet de régler l'appareil à l'angle désiré, QUEL QU'IL SOIT (Fig. 1). Ce ventilateur produit un puissant flot d'air qui déplace l'air rapidement pour rafraîchir une pièce efficacement, en un rien de temps. Fig. 1 Fig. 2 FONCTIONNEMENT · Placer le ventilateur sur une surface sèche et bien horizontale. · Brancher le cordon d'alimentation dans une prise de courant polarisée de 120 volts C.A. · Pour mettre en marche le ventilateur Super turbo, régler le bouton de commande à la vitesse désirée: HAUTE (III), MOYENNE (II) ou BASSE (I). · Régler le ventilateur à l'angle désiré. · Pour déplacer le ventilateur, couper son fonctionnement et saisir la poignée cachée située sur le rebord extérieur de l'appareil (Fig. 2). INSTALLATION AU MUR · Marquer sur le mur l'emplacement prévu pour l'installation du ventilaeur (préférablement sur un montant du mur). · Insérer une vis (un boulon) no 8 dans le montant du mur. La vis n'est pas fournie; on peut se la procurer dans une quincaillerie. · laisser dépasser une longueur de vis (boulon d'environ 3/8 po. · Aligner l'ouverture située au bas du ventillateur avec la vis (boulon et suspendre le ventilateur au mur. NETTOYAGE ET ENTREPOSAGE · Débrancher le ventilateur avant de le nettoyer. · Essuyer doucement le ventilateur avec un linge doux ou un coton-tige. · ÉVITER de plonger le ventilateur dans l'eau ou de laisser de l'eau s'infiltrer dans le boîtier du moteur. · ÉVITER d'utiliser de l'essence, du diluant pour peintures ou un autre produit chimique pour nettoyer le ventilateur. · Au moment de ranger l'appareil, le nettoyer soigneusement conformément aux instructions et le placer dans un endroit frais et sec.
